Personal identity information and contact details leaked: Please be extra vigilant, as you may become the target of more scam attacks. Attackers might even use the information they have about you to impersonate well-known companies or government agencies and verify information with you to gain trust. It is recommended to use the Whoscall app for call identification and automatic blocking of harassing numbers to avoid contact with scam groups and prevent excessive advertising calls. Additionally, Whoscall users are reminded to manually update the database weekly or enable Auto-update Number Database to ensure Whoscall can block the latest registered scam calls for you.
Debit/credit card information leakage: Notify the bank immediately to suspend the card and issue a new one. If your card has been used for unauthorized transactions, please contact the local police or the relevant anti-fraud department, which temporarily locks the funds before they fall into the hands of fraudsters. Report the incident to the police within 24 hours.
If your account passwords are leaked: Change all your passwords immediately. Use strong, unique passwords for each of your accounts. After changing your passwords, enable two-factor authentication to ensure that every login from a new device requires verification, adding an extra layer of security to your accounts.
